Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use Hylito. By using the site or buying a shortened video, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Hylito.

The service

Hylito uses AI to turn a long video into one shorter video of a length you choose, by selecting and combining the moments it judges most important. Hylito is an early product: features, availability, and pricing may change, and parts of the service may not be available yet.

Who can use Hylito

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. If you use Hylito for an organization, you confirm you have authority to accept these terms for it.

Your content

• You keep all rights in the videos you provide and in the shortened videos made from them.
• You give us a limited license to store, process, and analyze your video only as needed to create and deliver your shortened video.
• You confirm you have the rights and permissions needed to upload and edit the video, including from people who appear in it.
• You will not upload illegal content, content that infringes others' rights, or content that sexually exploits or endangers minors.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse Hylito. That includes attempting to disrupt or overload it, probing for vulnerabilities, bypassing payment, reselling access without our permission, or using it to break the law. We may refuse or remove content and suspend access if these terms are broken.

Pricing and payment

Each shortened video is a one-time purchase at the price shown at checkout (currently $2.99 per video). Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the seller of record and collects any applicable taxes. Dodo's own terms apply to the payment itself. Before you pay, you can watch a 480p preview of your shortened video with a Hylito watermark. After payment, you can download the full-quality version without the watermark. The watermarked preview is for evaluation only and may not be copied, shared, or republished.

Subscriptions

Hylito offers subscription plans, billed monthly or yearly, with a set number of shortened videos per month and a set number of stored videos, as shown on the pricing page. Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time from your account's subscription settings; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Monthly allowances reset at the start of each calendar month (UTC) and do not roll over. Plans described as unlimited are subject to reasonable use, and we may limit usage that is clearly excessive or that puts the service at risk for other users. We may change plan prices or limits with notice, and changes apply from your next renewal. If a payment fails, we may pause your plan until it is resolved. Videos you create under a plan remain in your library until you delete them.

Refunds

If we are unable to deliver your shortened video, we will refund you. For any other refund request, contact us and we will review it fairly, taking into account the circumstances and any rights you have under local law.

Results may vary

Hylito is designed to preserve important context, but AI selection is imperfect. Your shortened video may leave out moments you consider important or change the feel of the original. Please review the result before you use or share it.

Disclaimers

Hylito is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suited to a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Hylito will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the video involved. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms or the service, and we will change the date at the top when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept it. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or if we discontinue the service.
